TERM PAPER..(“Needle, to Unite Energy Concepts”)

Isn’t it annoying when our parents, especially our mother, to scold us about some aren’t good things happening to us? Like accidents, where in the never-ending sermon of our mother to not be careless in this things and that. Everyone is factually prone to accidents. Accidents tend to happen to us. It is inevitable, and that we cannot contradict. Though there are some accidents that are made by others for others with full consent, and knowledge. But what if those accidents could have been the long lost key to the long hidden treasure of secret of life?

Almost 250 years ago a great discovery was born. A birth, which united the conceptual things of energy in the field of Science. It may sound impossible if you will know the truth, that it was just a piece of accident. Imagine a piece of compass needle to let a growing mind to discover a concept that is used until now for the past 186 years. The scientists that accidentally discovered the electromagnetism was, Hans Christian Oersted. On exactly April 21, 1820, he was setting up his materials for a planned evening lecture he noticed a compass needle to deflect from magnetic north when the electric current from the battery he was about to us was switched on and off. This scene (when a needle deflects when placed near a wire carrying a current) made him think that magnetic fields radiate from all sides of a wire carrying an electric current. This important discovery was the first evidence of the connection between electric and magnetic phenomena. Aside from that accidental discovery he was also the first scientist to prepare pure aluminum.

If I am to analyze the discovery process, I could say it was just an absolute accidental discovery. Though at first he already had a sense of electricity and magnetism to have a relationship because of his friend (Johann Ritter physicist who believed there was a connection between electricity and magnetism.) who first made the first thought about it. This drove him to the study of physics. So he became a Professor in one university. In that University, he then discovered electromagnetism. If I am to analyze the discovery process, it is really an accident. Because he was really out of the thought of deflecting the needle when close to a current. As what I’ve said he was about to do a lecture when he discovered it. Though he was somehow in the process of discovering it, the fact is it was discovered at the time where he never expected it to happen or discover. I can say, “He discovered it by nature or unexpectedly but he did not discovered it heartily.” I mean it was really not in his mood of discovering it, not at the right time and at the right place, because he had built laboratories for his planned experimentation. Remember he just seen it when in the setting up of materials for another matter. After the discovery he did not suggest any satisfactory explanation of the phenomenon, nor did he try to represent the phenomenon in a mathematical framework. I should say the whole story tells everything if it was really accidental or not. But really my stand would be, accidental. It is, because it was made not in the experiment proper thing. It was discovered in the time when he was about to conduct something that is away related to his goal (to discover the relationship of electricity and magnetism). There were no like, scientific process done. So I should say it was really accidental, in a sense that it was discovered without a proper way and maybe proper time..

In the end, I can say even the most unwanted happening in life is sometimes may be the wanted one. Discoveries may come in two ways. It may be accidental or made with process. In the case of the discovery of electromagnetism it is really accidental. No matter how things are seen or discovered it is not in the how-it-was, but it is with how open you will be for the discoveries to come and for the different perception of others with your discovery. Remember sometimes things that you don’t expect to be the key for your success and spotlight may be the cause of the next generations’ satisfied life.

No physics.......TODAY

We haven't had our physics class this day....
We had the red cross seminar...
We had our outside researchfor the search for answers...
thats all we had....
and that will be the same tomorrow...on Sepetmber 28
but I have to do my term paper...
its an another expense.......

Long quiz.......the damage in my brain was so much....

Wow!.....honestly, if I am to compare the past long tests in the second quarters long test....its quite easy....though I haven't got a perfect score....but at least a score of higher than my scores before is a big achievement for me.... The essay thing was a hard one....but the problem solving was easily understood by me....I dont know, I think I have just studied better than my usual habit.....However, my brain was still damaged by that long test....

QUestion....

All I can say.....

an 80 grade is not worthy for me...

I guess so....

its just that the question that was asked to me was quite hard.....

but everything else, I got the answers correctly......

...........shame on that question.............

THE END IS NEAR....

the end for the 1st batch of lesons for the second grading is forth coming...
meaning..
the long test...
i have no idea if what kind of blah blah blah would sr. do to the exam sheet...
i can feel it...surely....he would do somthing just to make it complicated...hay...
hahaha....

9/10..........TRITIUM...

This is a new day.....a new entry....
We had our physics class 1 hour earlier....
Because of the demo class of the PLMiers...
Its cool....
But I am telling you I hate the demo class earlier...
BORING>>>
BORING>>>
BORING>>>
but at least we had a such experience....
and thats fine for me...
In the class we had a quiz again....
I got a score of 9/10...
again, a 1 point mistake...
because of my spelling of tritium.....
I wrote titrium....
hay...
thats it....
mabuhay.

PAHABOL

This is a "pahabol" entry....
I forgot to say that.....I got my first "BOKYA", meaning zero.....for this grading period....
hay...
at least I had a great recovery from that another shameful day...
I hope the historical first grading period wouldn't repeat itself this time......
hahaha...
thats it....
I've got nothing to say.....

PUPU..........SHEMAI.....yehey

wow...this is a great day for my physics book of experience.....hehehe
I got a perfect score in our quiz this afternoon...
Its so wonderful...
Thank God I understood the lesson very well....
But I know Sr. would do anything just to make our next quizzes about this topic very difficult and mind bomber for us....
Its just unfortunate that until now....our class...except the five smart ones....are still having a hard time practicing algebra.....
But its ok....
As what I've said....a great physics experience will come...maybe not now..but I know it will....

Saturday, September 15, 2007

yehey.....from *^.....it became.....*&.....

Thank you sr. moses king mendoza for that 1 point higher grade in physics....
I did appreciate your concern for all of your students....
hahaha...
I know...I know...
I should stop my flattering....
But its true..
What I've said came from the heart...
100%.....
With that...
I know in the next grading period I would get a 4 point higher than my grade last period......
Good luck to me....

My grade......

Hi!
My grade in physics?
*^....I just typed it this way...why?...because my grade is soooooooooooo shameful...
I couldn't just get it...why would I get this grade....well I could say my scores in quizzes aren't that high and also in my periodic..BUT....my blog....my blog....if only it was seen by....I could get a grade of 91 or 88...rather than my grade in blog which is 79!.....wow....its really a miles lower than my expected grade in my blog....
buyt its ok....
at least I passed this grading period....
but I promise...this next grading...
see the new me.....
hahhaha....
ang yabang ko....
but its just my motivation thing....
well thanks for that grading period that in my memory, would definitely last a lifetime.....

My LATEST entry

Sorry for having no entry for the past 2 weeks...
As what I've said its really hard to put an entry if you do not have ny computer at home.
Whatta destiny...
Well anyways...
I'm happy about the lessons we are encountering now..
I could say its quiet easy ifyou would try to compare it in the past lessons when we were in our 1st grading.
I got high scores in our quizzes...and its a good thing...right?
I hope I could have a higher grade this second quarter...hay....whew...
thats ity...I couldn't think of any statements with sense to put in here anymore.....

REACTION (EXHIBIT)......Last September , 2007

Last Friday, September 7 the Science Department had an exhibit of different gadgets like Body Conductor, which I really like the most, Rainbow Bubbles, etc. It had been a great experience for me. The interactive exhibit showed different scientific concepts and principles through their gadgets. It let me understand the field of Science, specifically Physics more. That exhibit was made up of different gadgets with different color and materials, has displayed not only wonderful instances of greatness, but also painful gadgets…It was exciting thought. I really love it because we were free to use to touch, to feel, to let work those given gadgets without any limitations. That is why many students were so happy to witness such thing.

The Anti Gravity Mirror was really the one that caught my attention the most. Why? Because it had something to do or really related to the topic we had in our Physics subject. That memorable lesson was a big obstacle to go through for me. I had a hard time understanding those, image, and sort of things. With that Anti Gravity Mirror we were floating thought the truth is we were not. It’s just a matter of illusion. It really helped me a lot, I guess, to understand the image stuff and other Physics concepts more.

The very challenging gadgets I had would surely be a memory that would last a lifetime. From a its simple finger like gadgets to complicated ones, I think it can alleviate the industry of science and technology in our country. Another thing, the whole exhibit was fun, but I guess there was no much organization from the exhibit’s staff. I can remember that the students, especially the 1st years were so naughty, they keep on shouting. I think the staff should have made the 1st year voices to soften down. Nevertheless the whole exhibit was, as what I said, a memory that would last a lifetime. I may not be able to say every little thing that I suppose to say on what I have learned from that exhibit, I know I can show it through my action and hopefully with God’s given talent and ability I can use the concepts I have learned not just from this exhibit but from my teacher, to reach a scientific life in a new technological world.
